South Korea’s government sent condolences on Tuesday to the North Korean people for the death of their leader Kim Jong-Il.
North Korea fired dozens of artillery shells at a South Korean island in one of the heaviest attacks on its neighbour since the Korean War.
The Korean War, which began 60 years ago on Friday, lasted three years, cost millions of lives and never officially ended.
