Arrows hold title key

Golden Arrows could not have asked for two tougher fixtures to end their Absa Premiership campaign — and to top it all, they hold the key to the championship. Arrows travel to Atteridgeville’s Super Stadium on Wednesday night, where they face leaders SuperSport United, and then host second-placed Ajax Cape Town at Umlazi’s King Zwelithini Stadium on Sunday.

Pelembe scores winner in comedy of errors

Who said comedy was dead? It was alive and well at Durban’s King Zwelethini Stadium on Wednesday night as SuperSport secured a 91st minute goal to beat Golden Arrows 1-0 in what turned out to be a comedy of errors. In the end it was left to Lithe Mozambican midfielder Elias Pelembe to cannon a 20m shot in additional time into the roof of the net.

Arrows, Royal Zulu play to 1-1 draw

The KwaZulu-Natal derby between Thanda Royal Zulu and Lamontville Golden Arrows petered out to a 1-1 draw in their Premier Soccer League clash at Absa Stadium in Durban on Wednesday night. Arrows led 1-0 at half-time. Arrows took the lead when Siyabonga Sangweni blasted a low shot that beat Royal keeper Aime Kitenge in the 26th minute.

Arrows show their mettle against Pirates

Golden Arrows beat Orlando Pirates 2-1 in a Premier Soccer League (PSL) clash at the Princess Magogo Stadium in Durban on Saturday. There was no score at half-time. Amazulu registered their second win of the PSL season when they beat Black Leopards 2-1 in scorching heat at Giyani Stadium, Thohoyandou.

Smith on form for Golden Arrows
