SA fall 12 runs short of the crown

India were on Sunday crowned champions of the ICC U/19 Cricket World Cup in Malaysia after a thrilling conclusion against South Africa in Kuala Lumpur. Set a revised target of 116 to win from 25 overs after the second innings was reduced because of rain, South Africa needed 26 runs from the remaining two overs.

So far, so good for U19 cricketers

An unbeaten 58 by Rilee Rossouw led South Africa to a three-wicket victory over the West Indies on Monday, while New Zealand defeated Zimbabwe by 98 runs in first-round matches of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Meanwhile, Bangladesh hammered Bermuda by 178 runs while Sri Lanka defeated Nepal by 61 runs.
