BidVest Wits head coach Roger de Sa has set his players a target of seven points from their three Absa Premiership fixtures this month.
Vusi Ngcobo’s hat-trick helped Thanda Royal Zulu ease their relegation problems when they registered a hard-fought 3-2 win over Bidvest Wits in a thrilling Absa Premiership match at Absa Stadium, Durban, on Wednesday. The match started at a blistering pace with Royal Zulu pushing forward in numbers in search of the opener.
Two well taken second-half goals by Tsepo Ramokala earned Platinum Stars a hard-fought 2-1 win over a lethargic Wits in a disappointing Absa Premiership showdown played at Milpark on Wednesday night. Wits led 1-0 at half-time. The win boosted Stars’ hopes of qualifying for the top eight at the end of the season.
A solitary goal by Clive Moyo-Modise gave Wits a jump from seventh to fourth place on the Absa Premiership table as they beat Free State Stars 1-0 at the Bidvest Stadium on Wednesday night. Wits leapfrogged Stars, Golden Arrows and Orlando Pirates into the top-five slot.

Ajax Cape Town maintained their position at the top of the Premier Soccer League standings with a well-deserved 3-1 win over Bloemfontein Celtic at the Athlone Stadium on Wednesday night. The opening minutes of the game were scrappy as neither team were able to stamp their authority on the match.
