One of Jacob Zuma’s most trusted bodyguards has been placed in charge of the operational spying structures of the police service.
The HRC has told Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa to apologise to the Cape Town jogger who showed President Jacob Zuma’s motorcade a middle finger.
A probe into the police’s VIP protection unit was welcomed on Thursday by the South African Police Union.
The DA said on Wednesday the South African Police Service was incapable of holding unruly police officers accountable for intimidating motorists.
