Deidre Carter

Cope youth leader Anele Mda has apologised to deputy general secretary Deidre Carter for making racist and sexist remarks, it was reported on Friday.

Anele Mda, Cope’s youth leader, has been suspended after allegations that she called the deputy general secretary “a stupid, white token bitch”.

Allegations of racism have rocked the third biggest political party in the National Assembly, the Congress of the People (Cope).
