Zambia faces a power shortage and electricity rationing by the end of next year, an industry official said on Monday.

SA’s power demand has risen back to the highs before the start of the economic slowdown, Eskom said on Friday.

South Africa will need 20GW of new power generation capacity by 2020 and would require double that amount a decade later, Eskom said on Monday.
