Volcanic Ash Cloud

Airlines in northern Australia and southeast Asia have grounded their aircraft as Indonesia’s Sangeang Api volcano erupts, throwing up an ash cloud.

Ash from an Icelandic volcano forced the cancellation of dozens of flights to and from Scotland on Tuesday.

Britain’s air traffic control body said on Monday it had agreed the creation of a new flying zone to limit disruption caused by volcanic ash.

An Angry Richard Branson has branded Britain’s airport closure a joke as volcanic ash cloud continues to cause travel chaos in Europe.
