A Lotto Plus player who hit a jackpot of more than a R1-million has less than two weeks left to claim the prize, lottery company Gidani said on Wednesday.
The ticket, which could make someone R1 160 385 richer, was bought on December 27 2007 in Benoni on the East Rand.
”By close of business on December 29 2008, the winning ticket will expire unless the lucky player who correctly predicted the winning numbers of the draw that took place last year on the same date comes forward to claim the prize,” said Gidani spokesperson Thembi Tulwana.
The numbers that were drawn were 2, 4, 5, 21, 23, 24 and the bonus ball was 47.
Tulwana urged Lotto players to check their old tickets.
In November, another winning Gauteng-bought Lotto Plus ticket expired before the holder could claim the R1 409 581 jackpot. Another ticket, worth R1 588 901, expires in February next year. Those winning ticket numbers are 5, 13, 14, 21, 33 and 48.
Tulwana reminded winners that they have a full year to claim their jackpot prizes. — Sapa
