GAUTENG LAUNCHES CORRUPTION GROUP

THE Gauteng provincial government announced on Wednesday the establishment of a special committee to fight corruption in the provincial administration. The committee will be made up of Premier Mathole Motshekga and MECs Paul Mashatile, Jabu Moleketi and Joyce Ggoali, assisted by lawyers and forensic auditors. Announcing the committee, Motshekga said the it is not intended to duplicate the work of the Heath special investigation unit but will work together with Heath to fight corruption. He called on members of the public, political parties and civil servants to report corruption in government.
