A RESCUE team on Monday reached the site of a United Nations cargo plane downed on January 2 in Angola, the second shot down in a month, a UN spokesman said. The team was composed of 25 people who had traveled earlier to Bailundo, a stronghold of the rebel group, Unita. No other details are to be available. Unita said on January 13 that the crash left “no survivors” among the nine passengers and crew. The Angolan government claimed that the movement led by Jonas Savimbi, whose clashes with the army have delayed rescue efforts, had shot the Hercules C-130 plane down.
