THE 63-year-old Hungarian herbalist accused of drugging girls as young as 10 and then having sex orgies with them was remanded in custody in the Belfast magistrate’s court in Mpumalanga on Monday. Members of the Congress of South African Students filled the courtroom where Charles Josef Baksai of Machadodorp appeared on two rape charges and six of indecent assault. He also appeared on seven charges of violating child labour laws for employing under-aged children. The eccentric herbalist was also charged with murder last week after allegedly shooting dead a teenaged boy, Rooi Mabuza, two years ago. He will appear in the same court on a charge of murder on March 25. He will appear on March 15 for a bail application for the rape, indecent assault and violation of child labour law charges.
