AUSTRALIA’S triple world champion women Hockeroos wrapped up the series 3-2 when they shut South Africa out with a more organised game plan to win the fifth international of the series Sunday. SA bet the Hockeroos 2-1 to level the series at 2-2 on Friday. Two goals up in the first 10 minutes, Australia were much sharper, played a more defined pattern and had South Africa battling for possession through a game they won 3-0. South Africa, so assured and with a dominant midfield pattern on Friday night were disjoined, lacked cohesion and were just a little too sluggish Sunday as the tourists, their world number one ranking on the line, stepped up the pace on a hot afternoon with high humidity.
