ISRAELI AMBASSADOR RECALLED

ISRAEL is to recall its ambassador to South Africa to question him about reports of a relationship with a South African army officer. Foreign Minister Ariel Sharon ordered the ambassador, Uri Oren, to return home after receiving a detailed report on the case, said ministry spokesman Aviv Shiron. A South African National Defence Force inquiry into the alleged affair recently cleared the woman concerned, Major Elize Lizamore, of any wrongdoing or breaches of intelligence.
