TRANSPORT Minister Mac Maharaj is expected to meet the South African Bus Employers Association and four unions representing transport workers in an attempt to end the six-day-old bus strike that has left scores of commuters without transport. Talks between the unions and Sabea under the auspices of the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration, broke down on Tuesday morning. The unions have lowered their demand from 11% to 10% — while Sabea has increased its offer by half a percent to 7%.
