KAGISO Media has bought the Rand Easter Show, Saitex and Auto Africa, according to a group announcement made on Monday. A new subsidiary called Kagiso Exhibitions will become the holder of these companies. The National Exhibition Centre (Nasrec) cost R44,25-million and the issue of shares worth R2,3-million. Most of the purchase price was attributed to trade names and goodwill. Other purchases include Footwear and Fashion Accessories Africa (Winter and Summer); Raw-chem Expo; Africa’s Big Shot Show; Interior Design Expo; Clothing Textiles Africa, Home and Interior Textiles Africa, Clothing Africa, Clothing and Textile Machinery Africa; Tech Textiles Expo; Forecourt Africa, C-Store Africa, Supermarket Africa; and Petexpo. All these cost R15-million.
