A SUDANESE government council on human rights on Wednesday demanded a probe into the “murder” of a Sudanese national when he was being deported from Germany, after losing valid residence papers. Amir Ajeib died on Friday on a flight from Frankfurt to Cairo after being tied up. He was 31. “The murder of the Sudanese national,” according to the council, “was a human rights violation as he was holding a valid residence permit and in spite of the fact that he had notified German police of losing the permit while travelling on a train.” Ajeib, bound by the hands and feet, died on a Lufthansa flight which he was forced to board. Two policemen held Ajeib’s head as he resisted expulsion during takeoff, and his body was later found to be lifeless, according a court official in the German town of Landshut.
