ZIMBABWEANS DEPORTED?

THE British government has reportedly deported the Zimbabwean Bazaya family, whose mother worked at the Zimbabwe High Commission, after their son allegedly attacked a next-door neighbour and then escaped prosecution on the grounds of immunity, it was confirmed yesterday. Tyrone Bazaya, in his mid-20s, was accused of repeatedly punching John Murray, an assistant at the Victoria and Albert Museum, in the face and then leaving him bleeding on the street. Murray claimed he was attacked in Lee Road, Mill Hill, on April 18. Murray made a complaint to his MP, Andrew Dismore, who swiftly took the case to Foreign Secretary, Robin Cook. But Zimbabwean deputy minister of foreign affairs, Nicholas Goche, said in an interview in Harare this week that Gloria was being recalled only because she has finished her term of service.
