PREMIERSHIP side AmaZulu may get new owners from down under after negotiations between current majority shareholder Dan Naidoo and a New Zealand consortium. The group is headed by New Zealander Greg Doolan, and has reached an agreement in principle pending the deposit of money into Naidoo’s account. Doolan tried to buy some of Moroka Swallows, but was rebuffed. The deal is believed to be for 80% of the club in exchange for shres in Doolan’s companies. Naidoo says AmaZulu has had it tough without big financial sponsorship, and he’s forced to sell due to lack of backing for the club.
