FIVE ARRESTED WITH COUNTERFEIT NOTES

ZAMBIAN police on Thursday arrested an unnamed white South African, two Zimbabweans, a Burundese and a Zambian in possession of millions in counterfeit notes. The five suspects were arrested following a tip-off at the Eden Motel in Mumbwa 152km west of Lusaka. Police confiscated a bottle of chemicals known as SSD Automatic solution which is possibly used to treat counterfeit notes to make detection almost impossible. The South African is believed by Zambian police to be the mastermind behind the scam. The suspects are expected to appear in court soon.
