SUSPECTED ZUMA RAPISTS IN COURT

THREE men who allegedly attacked and raped one of Deputy President Jacob Zuma’s wives appeared in the Inkandla Magistrate’s Court in northern KwaZulu-Natal on Monday. The men allegedly attacked and raped Sizakele Zuma at her home last week. The attackers, who were armed with pangas and pistols, fled with R2000, a generator, a televison set and her husband’s traditional attire. The suspects — Masimini Zulu, (41) Bernard Msiselwa Mabaso, (32) and Richmond Zuma, (19) better known as Zama, — were charged with armed robbery, rape and housebreaking. The men were not asked to plead and were remanded in custody until August 13 pending further investigation. They were arrested in a police swoop on a house in Kranskop, in which goods stolen from Zuma’s house were found.
