DATE SET FOR CHARLENE SMITH TRIAL

THE Johannesburg Regional Court on on Tuesday refused another postponement for further investigation in the trial of the 26-year-old man who allegedly raped journalist Charlene Smith. Magistrate JD Pretorius refused to grant another postponement after strong objections from the legal representative of Johannes Zinto, who argued that his client is entitled to a speedy trial. The earliest available date for the trial was December 7.
