POLICE chief executive officer Meyer Kahn has agreed to stay on for six months after his two-year contract expires at the end of this month, Safety and Security Minister Steve Tshwete said on Friday. Kahn in February announced that he would not renew his contract with the police, saying he had not been asked to do so. He said at the time he had already re-assumed chairmanship of SAB in London. Kahn was appointed by former President Nelson Mandela in July 1997 to restructure the SAPS.
