TERMS OF ENDEARMENT TABOO AT CMC

Cape Metropolitan Council employees are attending training courses in the form of ‘industrial theatre sessions’ to familiarise themselves with the the council’s new sexual harassment policey. Terms of endearment and even pursing of the lips in a mock kiss are now forbidden and uninvited physical affection is taboo. Disciplinary action will be taken against offenders. The sessions started at venues throughout the Cape metropolitan area last Friday and were scheduled to continue until this Friday. “We have taken a lead on this issue and offenders can be sure that they will be punished for unacceptable behaviour of a sexual nature,” Morkel said.
