FORMER national cricketer and convicted rapist Makhaya Ntini was on Wednesday pulled out of Border’s friendly cricket match against Eastern Province to be played in East London at the weekend. Ntini was on Tuesday included in the team, but public outcry saw the Border Cricket Board release a statement withdrawing Ntini “from all cricket matches under the control of the BCB until the judicial process has taken its course and case has been finalised.” The statement also said that the BCB regrets any offence that Ntini’s selection may have caused.
