SHARES in Sun International (South Africa) (Sisa) were sharply down on Wednesday on a press report that the country’s top anti-corruption judge wants to launch a probe into a tender awarded one of its subsidiaries. The Business Day said on Wednesday that Judge Willem Heath, who heads a special anti-graft unit, has asked for a proclamation from President Thabo Mbeki to investigate allegations that Sunwest used bribery to be selected as the preferred bidder for the Cape Town casino licence. Sisa is Sunwest’s parent company.
