AVID hikers can explore six new hiking trails that will be opened to celebrate the festive season in the Kruger National Park. Called the Millenium Trails, the six routes will operate only over Christmas, from December 23 to 26, and over New Year, from December 30 to January 2. Head of the Kruger Park Trails Rangers’ Section Bruce Bryden said on Wednesday he is excited by the new trails. “It will offer a memorable experience to the participants,” he enthused. The trails are at the Sweni, Metsi-Metsi and Napi camps and will cost R2150 per person per trail, including meals and other catering, except alcohol. “Individuals are free to provide their own alcoholic drinks,” Bryden said.
