ZAMBIA were merciless in their Cosafa Cup match against Namibia at Vosloorus Stadium on Tuesday, beating their hapless opponents 5-0.
The Chipolopolo scored four goals in the first half to put the match out of the reach of the Namibians.
Striker Solomon Banda drew first blood when he scored in the sixth minute beating goalkeeper Silvester Mbako with consummate ease.
Namibia hardly had time to recover when six minutes later they were 2-0 down when January Zyambo slammed the ball past Mbako. Zyambo scored his second in the 31st minute to take the score to 3-0.
The Namibians were constantly on the back foot and three minutes before the break Banda again scored.
The Namibians hardly had time to regroup after the interval when replacement Ronald Mbambara made it 5-0 in the 48th minute.
