BOWLING GOES PRO

BOWLING has gone professional.

The executive of Bowls South Africa have endorsed and supported the formation of the Professional Bowlers Association of South Africa.

The PBA has been formed primarily as a way to give players the chance to earn a living from the sport by generating more events, sponsorship and television coverage of top money events.

The PBA of South Africa is a member of World Bowls Tour which controls the professional game worldwide and is affiliated to the PBA in the United Kingdom and recognised worldwide.

The committee members of the Professional Bowlers Association of South Africa are Bert Pottow, Gerry Baker and Daron Smit.
