ESKOM announced its new CEO officer designate as Thulani Gcabashe in Johannesburg on Friday. Speaking at the announcement, Eskom’s Electricity Council chairman Reuel Khoza said Gcabashe and Bongani Khumalo were appointed deputy chief executives a year ago. Gcabashe will take over the reigns of Eskom from current CEO Allen Morgan no later than March 1, 2001, Khoza said.
