BERNARDO’S BOUT FALLS THROUGH

Former South African World Kick Boxing champion, Mike Bernardo’s proposed WBF heavyweight world title fight has been sidelined due to promotional problems. Bernardo was scheduled to have faced American Keith McKnight for the vacant conventional boxing title on Saturday night in the USA. Ron Scalf, President of the WBF told ZA*SPORTS

that they are working on details to ensure that the bout will still take place in the near future. The fight will no longer be staged in the USA, but will either be held in London or in South Africa. Sun City has been earmarked as a possible venue. South African promoter Thinus Strydom will be promoting the bout.
