THE official police search for the three rafters still missing after the black water tubing disaster last weekend won’t be resumed. This follows the discovery of another body on Sunday during an inspection of the river by the Southern African Rivers Association. Inspector Henk de Vos of the Storms River police station says however that police will continue to patrol the river and coastline once a day. “It’s difficult to say whether the bodies of the three rafters still missing are trapped in the river or have been washed out to sea,” De Vos says. Meanwhile, the Southern African Rivers Association is expected to release the findings of its investigation into the disaster on Monday. The rafters died when flash floods hit the Storms River on which they were tubing last weekend.
