EP, FALCONS FOR VODACOM QUARTER-FINAL

THE Gauteng Falcons and EP Elephants have announced their sides for this weekend’s Vodacom Cup quarter-final match at the Bosman Stadium in Brakpan on Saturday. Falcons coach Phil Pretorius has chosen to field a full-strength team for the clash, and his team are favourites to clinch the match and go on to the semi-finals where they will meet the winner of the match bewteen the Free State Cheetahs and the Lions. Former Lions flyhalf Louis van Rensburg and scrumhalf Freddy Roberts return as a partnership to the Falcons side, while Francois Grootboom makes way for Adrian Jacobs on the wing. Kurt Steinbach is back at number eight and Bertus Heunis will play at flank with Piet Myburgh at lock and Gunder Williamson, Danie van der Walt and Lawrence Sephaka making up the front-row. The Elephants made three changes to their team with John Nelson at right wing and Fanie Heymans at centre, while Wayne van Heerden moves to flank to make way for Gerhard Laufs at lock.
