UGANDA DISMISSES ANNAN’S DR CONGO DEMANDS

UGANDA has described a demand by UN Secretary General Kofi Annan that Rwandan and Ugandan troops leave the Democratic Republic of Congo as “simplistic”. National Political Commissar James Wapakabulo said the implementation of the Lusaka peace accord, signed in the Zambian capital in July last year, is “the only viable option for the resolution of the Congo situation.”
