THE World Bank has announced two credits worth $400.6m for Ethiopia to help it rebuild following its two-year conflict with neighboring Eritrea. With one credit worth $170.6m, Ethiopian authorities will design programs to reintegrate some 150 000 veterans into the civilian society and economy. A second credit for $230m will be used to rehabilitate health, education, water and transportation facilities as well as to reduce HIV infection rates and neutralise landmines. – Reuters
