DIVERS FIND BODY IN CROC-INFESTED DAM

SOUTH African police divers found a body Monday in a crocodile-infested dam which is believed to be that of a black youth allegedly murdered by nine white rugby players. The divers found the body tied to an old metal gate following Tshepho Matlohe’s alleged murder on March 25 near Pietersburg. Policeman Motlafela Mojapelo said: “We believe it is him. The body’s features fit the description. But we are waiting for his relatives to confirm the identification.” He and two cousins had allegedly been hunting on a farm when they were shot at. The rugby players were charged last week with Matlohe’s murder and the attempted murder of one of his cousins, who was wounded in the shooting. – AFP
