BUSH AMBASSADORS TO LESOTHO, NEPAL NAMED

PRESIDENT George W. Bush on Tuesday announced he had picked career diplomats Robert Geers Loftis and Michael Malinowski as US ambassadors to Lesotho and Nepal, respectively. Both nominations require US Senate confirmation. Loftis has held the post of deputy chief of mission in Maputo since 1999, while Malinowski has served as Deputy Chief of Mission in Manila since 1999. – AFP
