POPE URGES HUMAN FACE FOR AFRICAN LEADERS

POPE John Paul II has urged African leaders to give their policies “a human face”, in a message sent to a conference of West African bishops, Radio Nigeria said Monday. In the message to the week-long conference in the southeast Nigerian city of Enugu, the pontiff said African leaders should restore human dignity and bring development to the continent.
