WANT A LIFT? GET IN THE TRUNK

A DRUNK man who thought Good Samaritans were giving him a lift home on Wednesday night was instead beaten up, locked in the car boot and then dumped in the veld about 40km away. Three men offered a lift to Nehemia Silinda of Garelanani village in Bushbuckridge at about 9pm, after he had been drinking at a bar lounge. A policeman said the men beat and kicked Silinda, locked him in the boot of their car, and then drove to Sabie, where they beat him some more and left him unconscious in the veld. He was not robbed and was able to identify one of the men to police. No arrests have been made yet. – African Eye News Service
