A MAN was arrested on Tuesday morning in connection with the murders of a mother and daughter on a farm on the West Rand on Monday, police said. Captain Paula Nothnagel said the man was arrested at Manziville in Krugersdorp. During his arrest he was apparently found in possession of two firearms that belonged to the family — a .22 pistol and a .38 revolver. Another revolver was stolen on Monday, but it was not found. Lynette Jooste (40) and her 14-year-old daughter, Ilse, were shot dead by a man hiding in their home at Kromdraai, near Krugersdorp. The man apparently forced Lynette to had over the firearms, before shooting her. Another daughter, Yolande (16) was shot in the leg, rib and chest. Nothnagel said Yolande was in a coma at Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg on Tuesday. – AFP
