PTA MAN CHARGED WITH KILLING HIS WIFE

A 32-year-old man was arrested on Thursday for allegedly killing his 30-year-old wife at their home in Soshanguve, near Pretoria, police said on Friday. Inspector Percy Morokane said the man and the wife had separated a while ago and they were about to divorce. The husband who had moved out of their home visited the wife and requested that they should reconcile. Morokane said during the discussion they had an argument and the wife slapped the man in the face. She allegedly produced a firearm and, before she could shoot him, the husband kicked it away. The man then took out his firearm and allegedly shot the wife in the head twice. The woman died at the scene. The couple have a daughter but she was staying with the woman’s relatives. – Sapa
