Three boys, aged 10 and 11, were arrested after allegedly raping a six-year-old girl in Bohlokong, Bethlehem over the weekend, Free State police said on Tuesday. Captain Veronice Ntepe said the girl was playing with her friends in the park when the three boys accosted and allegedly raped her. The case was reported to the police and the boys were arrested. They were released into the custody of their parents. Also in the eastern Free State, an 11-year-old girl was raped allegedly by her brother’s 15-year-old friend on Saturday. Her brother and the friend met her at Tipperary Farm, Vrede and then left. The friend later returned and raped the girl, Ntepe said. The victim reported the matter to the police and the youth was arrested. – Sapa
