MOTHER HANDS OVER SON TO POLICE

A MOTHER handed her 22-year-old son to the police on Saturday night after he was allegedly involved in the murder of a man on the N12 highway near the Nasrec off ramp in Soweto, police said. Police were called to the scene at 6am on Saturday morning where they found body of man, aged between 30 and 35, Inspector Dennis Adriao said. The man had numerous stab wounds in his body and was wearing only shorts. He was lying next to his car and certain parts of the car had been stolen. A few hours later members of the Diepkloof Police Station followed up on information from the community and arrested two men, aged 25 and 26. The man’s clothes and vehicle parts were found in their possession. Later in the evening the third suspect in the murder was handed over to the police by his mother.
