Efforts to retrieve the bodies of former cricket captain Hansie Cronje and the pilot and co-pilot of the Hawker Siddley 748 light aircraft that crashed into the Outeniqua mountains near George on Saturday, resumed on Sunday morning.
Police Inspector Elgin Antonie said the operation would include the help of a helicopter.
He said the names of the pilot and co-pilot would be released once their bodies had been retrieved and identified by families.
Civil Aviation Authority representative Trevor Davids on Sunday said the operation was called off on Saturday night due to bad light and poor weather conditions, which saw emergency workers struggling for most of the day to get to the crash site just off the Outeniqua Pass. – Sapa
