Bafana B against Mozambique cancelled

The international friendly between Bafana Bafana B squad and Mozambique in Maputo on Saturday has been cancelled.

South African Football Association (Safa) officials said the game was supposed to be part of the African Union Summit, which is under way in Maputo.

The federation said they were requested by the South African government early this week to assemble a national team for the game.

However, Safa said they were informed by the government officials on Wednesday that the game was called off because the Black Mambas of Mozambique were out of the country.

The Saturday international friendly between Banyana Banyana, the national women’s side, and The Democratic Republic of Congo, scheduled for Eldorado Park Stadium in Johannesburg, has been moved to Mohlakeng Stadium in Randfontein, on the same day at 3pm.

South African Football Association officials said they had been informed that Eldorado Park was already booked by the local rugby club. – Sapa
