Manning Rangers shared a single point with their neighbours Lamontville Golden Arrows when they drew one-all in their Castle Premiership clash at Chatsworth Stadium on Saturday night.
The home side led 1-0 at interval.
This goal was put into the net by Bale Studzinsti in the 34th minute. The veteran Welcome ”Mshini” Mazibuko had a huge impect as he had the hand in this goal by playing a beautiful cross for Studzisti.
Peace ”Pro” Gumbi was rushed into hospital after he colided with his goalkeeper, Davis Phiri, with both trying to clear the dangerous cross in the 27th minute.
His place was taken by the veteran Tsepo Ntswane. Another forced subsitute was by Rangers who had to take out the slipper Liswa Duti, who came in carrying an injury he got from last week’s match against Orlando Pirates in the Coca Cola Last 16.
Arrows had their chances to equalise in the first half but all went to waste. In the 36th minute Siphesihle Ngobese had a chance to cross Herry Milanzi, but his shot went wide.
Arrows came in the second half determined to find the back of the net. This goal was served by Jason Lakay who took on players from the centre line, leaving them behind to equalise in the 46th minute. — Sapa
