A two-year-old baby was raped in the Free State township of Hlohlowane, police said on Monday.
Constable Christopher Mophiring said the girl was rushed to the nearby Clocolan hospital where it was confirmed she was raped.
The child’s injuries were discovered by her grandmother, who saw blood stains on her clothes when she bathed her.
The rape apparently happened on Friday.
