Hellenic end Arrows’ top-eight dreams

Hellenic shattered Golden Arrows’ dreams of finishing among the top eight teams in the Castle Premiership table when they beat them 4-1 in their final league game played at Kings Park soccer stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The visitors led 1-0 at interval.

Thabo Mabaso opened the score in the 16th minute when he made no mistake after receiving a neat pass from Thulas Gaoshubelwe. Hellenic increased the lead in the 57th minute when Richard Ranjie netted Katleho Noke’s cross ball.

In the 64th minute Mabaso, who was a thorn in the flesh of the Arrows players whenever in possession, completed his brace.

Arrows managed to pull one back when Harry Milanzi scored in the 67th minute. Milanzi was only on the field for five minutes as he replaced Lucky Sibeko in the 62nd minute. He scored from the rebound after Mabhudi Khanyeza’s shot was blocked by the Hellenic goalkeeper.

The visitors put on more pressure after this goal and as a result, they scored their fourth in the dying minutes of this game. It was scored by Sipho Ndzuzo.
