Engen Petroleum, South Africa’s largest fuel retailer, has launched its Dynamic Unleaded fuel in South Africa, the latest in its range of fuels marketed under the Dynamic product line, the company announced on Wednesday.
From Wednesday, Dynamic Unleaded will be available nationwide at approximately 900 Engen sites.
Although motivated as an indirect result of fuel legislation changes that require that all petrol manufactured in South African refineries will be unleaded from January 2006, Engen said that the new fuel offers benefits far ahead of its time. The product is so advanced that it can be used by modern vehicles using direct injection gasoline engine technology.
An added benefit is that most vehicles currently using leaded petrol can use the fuel.
Engen has been able to source and research products that have been developed, tested and produced for the country’s unique driving conditions, said Engen retail marketing manager Pierre Roodt.
“Thanks to its unique additive package, Dynamic Unleaded cleans up the car’s engine. As a result, not only does the car engine perform better — leading to improved fuel economy and driveability — but it is cleaner burning, which reduces exhaust emissions, making it more environmentally friendly.
“Dynamic Unleaded will offer the exceptional benefits of protecting against corrosion; offering advanced fuel technology; complying with direct injection gasoline engine technology; and reducing exhaust emissions.
“This fuel is designed not only to address today’s problems, but to provide solutions to future challenges, and is therefore ahead of its time,” he concluded. — I-Net Bridge
