This Ute is a beaut

General Motors have given us a sneak-peek at the new Opel Corsa Ute, and we think it’s a stunner. Gone are the soft lines of the old Corsa, to be replaced by the aggressive looking bakkie you see here. The latest Corsa, developed in Brazil and launched in that country last October, is bigger and rides higher than the current version. With payloads of between 680 kg and 735 kg it’s also more of a three-quarter tonner than a half-tonne bakkie. Engines include a 1,4 petrol, a 1,8 litre petrol and a 1,7 litre diesel with a turbo bolted on – good news for those who were disappointed by the lack of a hairdrier on the current model.

Expect to see the new Corsa at your local dealer towards the end of August.
